My Shabby Chic Corner

3/14/16

Once in awhile, I like to redecorate my house. I got bored easily with the same decor for such a period of time, so to keep things interesting I'd like to keep my house decor fresh and up to date.   Although, is costly to always redecorate my space but I always find a way to keep the cost low or to do it with a small budget. I will talk about how to rearranged your decor with a small budget on my future post. As for now let's talk about this sweet corner of mine...

I live in an old house that has been remodeled or restored, and most of the things of this house are new but the previous owner kept the original design of the house. And the street that I live in is the historical street, so most of the house in my neighborhood are beautiful colonial and victorian house. I thought is interesting to do Shabby Chic decor base on the house style and is always have been my favorite style as well especially when it comes to party decor. I love the colors, vintage white, pastels and all the soft colors combine. I just think is ideal for springtime, where all the flowers are blooming. But, when it comes to decorating your space try to mix it up your items and color so it looks modern and yet classy.

Since I don't want to spend so much money and want to keep the price low,  I bought most the items from discounted store where I can get good qualities items with low price. So here it is,  I hope you like this decor that I put together:

This blue square wooden box, this is originally is a wooden sign for Easter but since is not easter yet so I used it as double duty. As for know, I put my potpourri in it and when easter comes this would be an Easter decor.

The panel that you see on the wall is originated for telephone port on the 60s to 70s decor but since we don't have a home phone so I used it to put our wall decor.

This mini chest is the statement pieces, is the center of this small table decor.  When I spot this beauty, it's given me the idea what I want to do with my corner, the rest of the items I bought just to complement this item. This mini chest is so beautiful and heavy, the small drawers are made from ceramic. I use it to store some of my jewelry and things that I use for every day, something easy for me to reach every time I get out from the house. This decor is not just going to look beautiful on one corner of your living room but it'll be wonderful too for your bedroom side table. And also, you can put it in your kitchen as a spice box, is all depend on your preference. This is such a versatile item, so use your wild imagination, the sky is the only limit!

All I bought it from Rose dress for less Department store
Here, I break down the price:
Silk flowers: $8.99
Candle on sale for $3.99
White frame on sale for $2.99
Small ceramic chest: $16.99
Small Blue Frame: $4.99
Potpourri: $4.99

Not bad for the price, right? Ok lovelies, what do you think? Please leave me your comment below.

xoxo
