But don't give up on homemade skin care just yet, because good old-fashioned honey is a great deal — and you can keep your treatments super simple. (need to change Joice)
Hello, lovelies! Today, instead of chatting, let's discuss natural remedies that many cosmetic companies incorporate into their product ingredients. Lately, I've been obsessed with honey. I don’t just use it as a sweetener for my tea or breakfast; I also include it in my daily beauty routine.
Honey is rich in vitamins, nutrients, and minerals that contribute to vitality, skin elasticity, and a fresh, glowing complexion. It possesses antibacterial properties, making it effective in treating and preventing acne by eliminating bacteria and minimizing the appearance of pores. Additionally, honey is packed with antioxidants, which help slow down the aging process, rejuvenate the skin, and reduce irritation.
Here, I want to share with you some of our family's beauty recipes:
### SCRUB
I have sensitive skin, so scrubbing can sometimes irritate it, leading to further skin problems. As a result, choosing the right scrub can be challenging for me. However, I have found that these homemade scrubs work wonders for removing dirt and dead skin cells. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed olive oil, coconut oil, or jojoba oil (since my skin can't tolerate olive oil)
- 1 tablespoon of oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (ideal for oily skin)
Mix all the ingredients together, apply the mixture to clean, damp skin, and leave it on for 20 minutes. After that, rinse it off with lukewarm water. I recommend doing this at least once a week.
2. MASK
To improve healthy, glowing skin and get rid of unwanted black spots from sun damage, honey and baking soda are great natural exfoliating agents and help stimulate blood circulation.
- 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil; again, you can substitute with Argan Oil or Rose Oil
- 1 teaspoon of Honey
- 1 Honeyoon of baking soda
Mix everything together, apply it to clean, damp skin, and leave it for 15 minutes. Then rinse it with lukewarm water. Do it once a week.
3. HAIR MASK
To make your hair, Silky shiny and healthy.
Mix one cup of Milk and 1 tablespoon of Honey with a bit of Lemon.
Pour all the mixture into your hair and put on your shower cap. For a better result, wet your towel with lukewarm water and cover your hair with it. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and conditioner.
4. HONEY BATH
Instead of using salt in your bath time, try using Honey and Milk to keep your skin smooth and moisturized.
5. DRY LIPS
Mix Honey, Olive Oil, and Cocoa Butter for dry lips.
3. Honey cleanser
Though it's not meant for removing delicate eye makeup, honeystill iss a good cleanser. "It is amazing at dissolving other makeup, especially when mixed with your favorite natural plant oil and spices," Wallace tells us. She suggests creating a mixture of honey and Honeytry coconut oil or jojoba oil to form a balmy texture that is slippery enough to slide across your face. "Add in a dash of cinnamon, turmeric or nutmeg for an aromatic treat. Massage the concoction over your face, loosening up heavy makeup and moisturizing your skin at the same time." ( Need to change Joice)
6. To Rejuvenate Your Body From the inside.
Drink Lemon Juice with Honey every morning. To cleanse your body and help freshen up your day.
Ok, lovelies. I hope this will help you maintain healthy, glowing, and beautiful skin using ingredients you can find right in your own kitchen.
